BLACK PARENT CONNECT CORPORATE SPONSORSHIP AND PROJECT HISTORY
On April 21, 2007, two privately held African American Family Owned Corporations, HBCU Kidz, Inc. and NMP
Information Services, Inc. (K.E.N.N.Y.) co-founded Black Parent Connect (www.BlackParentConnect.com) as a
test pilot to evaluate the important needs of internet black business owners and black consumers who seek to
uplift and provide positive services and products for children of color. The pilot study ended on March 1, 2008.
After evaluating the results and determining the sense of urgency for implementation, the founders identified
a need to quickly expand their impact in range and scope to meet the various problems, challenges and
concerns identified through the pilot study. On March 1, 2008, the two corporations decided to focus and
concentrate on their two most passionate respective interests also identified as key concerns from the study.
NMP Information Services spun off to drive our SAVE OUR BLACK BABIES initiatives, and HBCU kidz spun off
to drive our SAVE OUR BLACK FAMILY ECONOMICS initiatives.
Each corporation co-sponsors and supports respectively these two very important web based activities. The
founding leadership team strongly believes that there are MANY other parents with children of color across
our country that want to connect, support one another, share with one another, and simply become stronger
as we link together.
We welcome collective partnerships and strategic alliances with all like-minded groups and individuals.
If you have any questions, comments, ideas or concerns please contact us!
All people of all races who love and support children of color are

PROBLEM:
In 2008, many concerned parents find that the current media images
and publicly reported statistics do not represent the children that
are being raised by loving families.
The currently available selection of products and services in the
marketplace do not adequately reflect the thought and diversity of spirit that
many black families are seeking to correctly raise children of color.
Gift shoppers searching for unique items for children on the internet and
driving to attend local vendor events find that it can be time consuming and
frustrating. Correct images and messages are hard to find.
MISSION:
BP Connect promotes and markets high quality online goods and services
to adults raising children of color and assists business owners by targeting
niche consumers to support their efforts in generating additional revenue.

MOTTO:
"We grow stronger as we link"
LOGO:
A green burst of radiating light. The green color represents collective
economic growth and prosperity. It also symbolizes the knowledge and
wisdom consistently generated and circulated throughout the internet
community. The light grows stronger by connecting positive business
ownership with products and services that meet the diverse needs of an
important consumer group, the black family. The BP is the acronym for
Black Parent and is recognizable by those in the know. It is an emblem
reminding us of the importance of growing Black Family Economic
Prosperity in our material investments in our children. Look for the brand.
COLORS:
Red, Black and Green.
Red, black, and green red is for the "color of the blood which we
must shed for our redemption and liberty", black for "the color of
the noble and distinguished race to which we belong," and green
for "the luxuriant vegetation of our Motherland.
Red is a very strong color. It is a noticeable color that is often used on caution and warning signs. It is often
associated with stop or "beware". Red is a good color to use for accents that need to take notice over other
colors. Red is often used in flags for nations, as it is a symbol of pride and strength.
Black is also a very powerful color that also portrays one of class elegance and wealth. Black combined with
other colors can have a very strong statement. Black is a color that can fit into almost every design to add
contrast, type and make the other colors stand out more.
Green is the color of nature and health. It represents growth, nature, money, fertility and safety. Green is a
relaxing color that is easy on the eye and has a healing power to it. It is often used to represent anything having to
do with health.
