Our family motto is EDUCATION! Important GEAR for LIFE.
Through our journey, we have learned a great deal about some of the root causes of the
achievement problems of OUR BLACK CHILDREN.
HINT: "IT AIN'T ALWAYS THE SCHOOLS."
Our munchkins are woefully UNDER PREPARED at home vs. children from other cultures!
I offer what my parents provided me in hindsight...EDA=Exploration+Discipline+Application.
1. EXPLORATION! 2. DISCIPLINE! 3. APPLICATION!

I would love to hear back from U on what your passion is in serving our community and in any creative ways that our families can
work together to become FREE. Please share your thoughts on my blog, "The Overground Railroad".
Well, there U have my author's biographical sketch and insight into what occupies 90% of my mind and time each and every day.
My journey begins with my father's living dream to own a business in his small rural hometown, and it ends with my mother's dying
wish that I would focus my passion and high energy on a form of work that directly involves my precious family.
I wrote most of this book while living on the location of the old plantation of my father's ancestors.
This memoir is my tribute to all of my ancestors and a passionate contribution of my gifts and talents to the upliftment and success
of my current and future legacy. It is my prayer that we all remain FREE.
Thanks for letting me share a little about me and why I believe that "Cotton Pickin' Paycheck-A 21st Century Journal of
Escape from Slavery" will be a MUST READ and historical keepsake for every living soul.
