  • The HBCU collegiate licensing process requires a strong commitment to excellence.  It takes
    time and effort to complete the application process.  It also requires a commitment to pay a %
    back to the school for each unit sold.  HBCU kidz is positioned to pursue a licensing strategy
    based upon our customer's needs.  We only sell authentic officially licensed gear in our
    stores.

  • Our current limited edition collection of 28 vintage HBCU Baby Tshirts and sweatshirts
    represent wonderful diversity in color, size and design!

  • OUR DRIVING FORCE FOR PROVIDING HBCU COLLEGE GEAR is and will be OUR
    FUTURE GENERATION... the "munchkins" we see everyday! Our vision is to create a brighter
    future for them all...one day at a time.

  • We began our pursuit of becoming the world's largest collection of HBCU baby gear with
    THEIR FUTURE in mind...Education!  Important GEAR for LIFE.

  • Because we graduated from an HBCU and enjoy reconnecting with other HBCU alumni at the
    various Football Classics and College Events, we wanted our children to be able to dress
    "like us" for these occasions!  They love watching the bands play and cheering on the team!  
    They even notice that all of the adult fans are dressed in team colors and college gear!

  • Unfortunately, we found from speaking to various vendors that there was "a lack of respect for
    the market potential".  People who would like to return home with nice little gifts for the "little
    ones" in their lives have been consistently discounted.  One year you may find a vendor
    selling a few items, the next year you don't!  Therefore, we rarely have the opportunity to bring
    home HBCU gear in sizes newborn to 6T for our little nieces and nephews!  

  • The problem of consistently finding tiny sized HBCU gear concerned us enough to explore
    the question "is the HBCU audience a neglected and under served market"?  

  • We thought why not attempt to open up some doors so that ALL children can be encouraged
    and exposed to HBCUs?

  • We believe that providing these tokens of love to our young family members not only says that
    we were thinking about them at these events, but they also spread the message that HBCUs
    are GREAT schools and affordable options for everyone!  

  • Why HBCU Kidz?  Because OUR KIDS are our future legacy of leaders and every baby
    deserves to have a DESTINATION HBCU!
