WE believe our kids are our future. We also believe that education is important gear for life. Just like a
football player wears a helmet, a surgeon wears a mask, a judge wears a robe, or even as a carpenter
carries a hammer, every baby needs to be dressed for success at home. Success begins at birth and every
baby born is a gift from God. We want U to help connect the kids to the colleges.
HBCU kidz is a family business committed to serving families.
“Here I AM! College Material. HBCU kidz Class of 2028”
Our first design gives tribute to all of our future dreamers, leaders and achievers who have a plan in place for
success for year 2028. The relevant message was created by a group of hip-hop generation parents who
were asked, "what kept you from going on to college?" Over and over the response was a resounding, "I
was told that I was NOT college material, and I began to believe it". It is "EYE" catching to help young
munchkins phonetically begin "reading" sounds in communicating the relevant and bold message. The
importance of science is highlighted with the atomic symbol and the HBCU spirit is denoted by the "3rd Eye"
incorporated into the logo. This design is our call to action to get the message out to our future! Education
is important GEAR for Life! If you can dream it, you can achieve it!
“Achiever in Training”
In our tradition of consistently seeking and responding promptly to our customer feedback, the 2007 HBCU
kidz Design Themes: Train up a child [Proverbs 22:6] and Love never fails [I Corinthians 13:4-8]. They
enabled us to go back to our roots of launching the brand and offer our preschool and academic
organizations a trusted product line. This design was created to inspire and motivate our next generation to
creatively embrace training, education and the early foundation of self-acceptance. At first glance it may
appear to be just like any other academic or athletic team logo but the baby wearing this design belongs to
an always scoring, always winning team year
round! A parent is a baby's first teacher about who he or she is in life. Of course life has
setbacks and disappointments, and yet unfortunately, we cannot shield them from this
fact in the end. But one thing that they must always know is that true LOVE never fails.
AGAPE LOVE is unconditional. [John 3:16] So many people fail because they do not accept that LOVE and
SELF ACCEPTANCE provides the key foundational building blocks for ACHIEVEMENT.
“Future C.E.O. (College Educated One)”
In our tradition of consistently seeking and responding promptly to our customer feedback, we heard
customers who said they loved the concept of promoting education, uplifting the self-esteem of our
munchkins and believed in the importance of introducing vision and achievement. They just did not have a
strong preference for any particular or specific institution of higher learning. So our FOCUS GROUP helped
us create the Future C.E.O or Future College Educated One. This very creative design is personalized with
each child's photo and name.
“GbG Gifted by God”
Based on the original foundation of the corporate mission, HBCU kidz was very proud to introduce and
launch the 2008 HBCU kidz Design Themes: Every child is God's gift to the world. Psalm 127:3 says
"Children are a gift of the Lord". We created this design out of our love for God and our desire to spread the
message that our children are precious, need nurturing and carry the future on their tiny shoulders. What we
invest today, will reap tomorrow's dividends.
"U are uniquely created with a special gift that can bring you the greatest joy in life. Everyone is programmed
with their own gift. It is an ability that some must be specially trained to be able to do. You were born with this
gift. It takes confidence to find it. It takes confidence to use it. It takes confidence to share it. U deserve to feel
good about having this gift. Never doubt your value in this world. We joined together with a partner Unitee
Design Group for a special Red/Black/Green design along with our original signature design which is a
strikingly modern GOLD logo.
“We ALL start Small”
In our tradition of boldly listening to the "mouths of babes", HBCU kidz was very proud to introduce and
launch the 2009 HBCU kidz Design Themes: We ALL Start Small was created to encourage our children to
recall that all great people started out as kids.
Over the years while building HBCU kidz, Inc. I have noticed that most people seem to agree that the future
for many of our children is troubling. A growing number of concerned people feel that it is important that
children know that they have a culturally rich history as early as possible in their lives. This knowledge gives
power to unleashing their God given gifts, talents and abilities to achieve. Yet it is often a hard topic for many
parents to approach confidently.
The design was created based upon customer feedback and our own munchkins' input. Each baby
character represents a person who helped change the world by making it a better place.
“From Diapers to Dorms”
In our tradition of boldly listening to the "mouths of babes", HBCU kidz was very proud to introduce and
launch the 2010 HBCU kidz Design Theme: "I AM FEARLESSLY AND WONDEROUSLY MADE!"
A young man with great untapped ability provided our 2010 Design: "From Diapers to Dorms". The artist
himself has not found his way to a college campus, and yet he wishes that he had a more direct path
prepared for him at birth.
The design was created as a tribute and a reminder that every child deserves to be nurtured and prepared to
compete in an increasingly global marketplace.
