Inspirational Gear

One of our newest team members was born outside of the U.S. (in Haiti) and was pleasantly surprised to learn all that HBCUs have to
offer. She immediately became an advocate for getting the word out to an even more diverse population than we could have ever
originally envisioned.

We found a loving new grandmother and her teen-aged daughters to participate in our very first HBCU kidz focus group. We attempted
to better understand what in their life experience caused them to become mothers so early and not consider a college education
as an option. Their response was basically that someone told them that they were not college material and that they should do
something else with their lives. So when they looked at their future, there really wasn't much to look forward to besides becoming a
mom. Being a young mom is great, but being an educated mom can be so much more rewarding!

The insight and perspective of these teenagers gave the company the inaugural limited edition design "Here I am! College
Material". The HBCU kidz "Achiever in Training" design was inspired by listening to the concerns and desires of educators and child
advocates. Toddlers and Preschoolers really love these designs! The creative and eye-catching artwork gives them great pride to
actually "READ" what the shirt says.

The tested messages are easy enough for a two (2) year old to restate in his or her own words!
