About Us
So Why Did We CHOOSE to Become Involved with HBCU kidz, Inc.?

" We must help kids believe at an early age that if you want to look cool, you have to be SMART!"        Elias Zenkich

"My friends, family  and I had never heard of HBCU until Joan explained it in 2005.  If I had known about HBCUs I probably would have advised
my daughter to go to an HBCU.  It is so important that people know about these universities because they were designed for us as black
people and without the HBCUs we would not have so many of the black doctors, lawyers etc that we have today.  So my goal is to educate the
new parents about HBCU, and I am hoping by year 2028… ALL, I mean ALL black high school graduates will know about and  have the choice
of attending an HBCU!"
Maggie Joachim

"People have asked me, 'what is your purpose for this company?'  My response is throughout my career I have had the opportunity to work with
kids who society had given up on going to college…including themselves…I want to give kids a better opportunity.  I want them to have a plan
so that at the end it can come down to choice.  Do they
choose to go to college or not?  Right now college doesn’t happen for so many
because it just was not in the long term plan."
Thomas  Gosier

"When I am asked why am I involved with HBCU kidz my response is to be able to create a place where a person can work hard while have
time to enjoy family, friends and promote a positive outlook on life!   I want HBCU kidz to offer tools to make it easier for gift givers to inspire
and motivate others while they are still young!  I want to make the idea of preparing our babies for the future a fun, convenient and popular
thing to do!  Every baby deserves a special gift that inspires a dream to achieve."
